What a fantastic year 2019 has been for the Pheasant!

Back in March, we celebrated our 10th Anniversary in style; Chef Peter and the kitchen team took possession of his shiny new state of the art kitchen and Jacquie got a chance to use her creative talents to refurbish the lounge and some of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Since then, we have expanded our menus and hosted seventeen weddings (congratulations to all our newly-wed couples), numerous shooting parties, birthdays, christenings, graduations, first communions, anniversaries and family celebrations galore!

 

 

Earlier in the year we were once again rewarded with an AA 3 red star Inspectors’ Choice Award for our high level of quality, excellent standard of hotel keeping, and our outstanding service and hospitality. We also retained our 2 AA red rosettes for our culinary excellence and won the AA Breakfast award and the AA Notable Wine List Award! We also received our TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the sixth consecutive year.  We have also featured in the Michelin Guide, the Good Hotel Guide and the Good Food Guide.

 

In November we were delighted to be finalists in the “Taste of England” category at the prestigious 2019 White Rose Awards (Welcome To Yorkshire) where we won bronze and we have now learned that in June we will be going forward to the 2020 Visit England Awards in the same category so fingers crossed for that!

 

 

None of this would be possible without our fantastic Pheasant Team who work extremely hard all year round to ensure our guests enjoy a wonderful experience with us and our superb local suppliers who provide us with the best produce available. Thank you one and all for contributing to this record year for the Hotel!

 

And of course we would like to thank  our guests for such great support once again throughout 2019 and we wish you all a very Happy, Prosperous and Peaceful New Year.  We look forward to welcoming you again to the Pheasant some time in 2020.
